The Unexpected Journey of Becoming an Artist
Becoming an artist wasn’t something I planned—it was something I discovered. Life has a way of guiding us down unexpected paths, sometimes through challenges we’d never choose for ourselves. My journey to becoming a full-time artist is a testament to that.
Art found me during one of the most challenging seasons of my life. Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. While it was a difficult and unexpected chapter, it also clarified my purpose in a way I hadn’t felt before. I realized that my calling was to create art that resonates deeply with others, art that reflects the resilience and beauty of the human spirit.
From Adversity to Creativity
Like many of us, I’ve faced moments in life that felt like endings. Relationships that didn’t last, career paths that changed course, and moments of uncertainty that tested my resilience. What I’ve come to learn is that those moments weren’t endings at all—they were the beginnings of something greater.
My art reflects this truth. In my upcoming collection, Beyond the Door: When One Door Closes, Another One Opens, every painting tells a story of transformation, renewal, and the beauty that comes from embracing change.

For me, painting isn’t just about creating something beautiful—it’s a process of self-discovery. With every brushstroke, I explore themes of resilience, strength, and the power of moving forward, even when the path isn’t clear.
This is why my work incorporates elements like hidden keys and QR codes. They represent the treasures and lessons we uncover when we trust the process and keep going, even when life feels uncertain.
Why I Paint
