Embodying personal transformation, where vulnerability becomes a source of power and beauty.
This collection isn't just about overcoming obstacles, be it flawed thinking about ourselves through to dealing with circumstances that no longer serve us; it's about the powerful rebirth that follows, when we tap into our inner strength, and allow ourselves to be who we were truly meant to be.

Inner Beauty Unfurled: A Journey Within
QUOTE THAT INSPIRED THIS PAINTING:
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." – Ralph Waldo Emerson
My poem about this painting:
In the stillness, you began to bloom,
Not rushed by the world, but gently,
Like the petals of a peony, unfolding
To reveal the beauty that has always been.
The soft flutter of wings,
The whispers of healing,
Of the quiet strength you hold inside.
In your own time, you step forward,
Discovering the worth that was always yours,
The light you have cannot be dimmed.
Like the dragonfly, you dance
Between moments of doubt and clarity,
Knowing that with each step,
You move closer to your best self.
And though the world may not see
The quiet strength beneath your surface,
You know.
You trust.
Your inner beauty, your worth,
Your strength,
Unfurls.
Features of this painting and the reasons why I used them:
PEONIES:
Peonies are often associated with prosperity, beauty, and grace. They also symbolize healing and a quiet strength.
In some cultures, they represent bravery and the ability to withstand adversity.
DRAGONFLIES:
Dragonflies are symbols of transformation, adaptability, and self-realization.
They often represent change in the perspective of self-awareness and remind us to live in the moment and take life lightly.
The color blue can signify clarity, communication, and serenity.
BLUE BUTTERFLY:
Butterflies are universally recognized as symbols of transformation and rebirth.
A blue butterfly, in particular, is often seen as a symbol of hope and a promise of a fresh start.
It’s also a reminder of the beauty that emerges from change and the new beginnings that follow.
Wings of Resilience
QUOTE THAT INSPIRED THIS PAINTING:
"It is not the strength of the body that counts, but the strength of the spirit." – J.R.R. Tolkien
My poem about this painting:
And it is here, my love,
In the midst of fear and doubt,
That you find yourself rising,
Not because it is easy,
But because deep within,
You know you are meant to soar.
There is strength in each small step,
Each quiet, deliberate breath,
For even in the moments of uncertainty,
You trust the path beneath your feet
To carry you through.
And though the skies have been dark,
And the weight of it all feels heavy,
You move forward, wings unfurling,
One step at a time,
Knowing that clear skies are just ahead,
And that you are becoming
The person who is unafraid to fly.
Unafraid
QUOTE THAT INSPIRED THIS PAINTING:
"She remembered who she was and the game changed." – Lalah Delia
My poem for this painting:
You stand, soft yet unshaken,
A quiet strength beneath the calm.
Your gaze lifts, ready for the challenge,
Filled with a knowing
That you will rise, as you always have.
You carry hope within you,
Unseen by those who doubt,
Felt in every step you take.
Yet you are unafraid.
There is no need for words,
No need for proof or show,
For you understand your worth,
You move forward,
Trusting the path beneath your feet.
And though the winds may shift,
And others may question your strength,
You are already blooming,
Already whole,
You are - unafraid.
Quiet Strength
QUOTE THAT INSPIRED THIS PAINTING:
"She silently stepped out of the race she never wanted to be in, found her own lane, and proceeded to win." – Anonymous
My poem about this painting:
They see your softness,
The porcelain glow of your skin,
And think you are fragile,
But they do not know the power
That lives quietly within.
With every step,
You move through doubt,
Carrying the strength of those
Who know their worth,
Even when the world
Tries to say otherwise.
You listen not to the voices
That say that you cannot,
For within you is a quiet knowing,
A certainty that you can.
Obstacles may rise,
But you will rise higher,
Unfolding your strength like petals,
Delicate, yet unyielding,
Resilient in the face of it all.
And in your silence,
You hold the power of hope,
The beauty of confidence,
The grace of a woman
Who knows exactly who she is.
Courage Doesn't Always Roar
QUOTE THAT INSPIRED THIS PAINTING:
”Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.” - Mary Anne Radmacher
My poem about this painting:
In the stillness, you grow,
Not with noise, but with grace,
In places few would notice,
Yet your roots run deep.
A humble beauty that thrives
In the face of the harshest winds,
Without needing to be seen.
Your inner strength and beauty does not ask for permission.
For courage doesn’t always roar—
It is in the soft voice that says,
"I will try again tomorrow."
You find your strength,
Not loud, but steady,
Not forceful, but true.
And in your gentle rise,
There is a knowing,
That even here,
Even now,
You will triumph.
Aphrodite's Garden
QUOTE THAT INSPIRED THIS PAINTING:
"I choose to make the rest of my life the best of my life." - Louise Hay
(I have attached images that were behind the inspiration for creating this piece).
She is quietly self-confident, her face framed by the lush, deep red of ripe pomegranates and the tender green of their leaves - a nod to the pomegranate’s rich history as a symbol of prosperity, beauty, and vitality throughout the ages. It is said that the Goddess of Love and Beauty – Aphrodite, planted the first Pomegranate tree.
Set against the background of a sophisticated French restaurant, inspired by the likes of the prestigious Belle Epoch restaurant of Le Grand Vefour situated in the heart of the theatre district, which was and is, one the finest gourmet rendez-vous of Parisian political, artistic and literary society for more than 100 years (the kind of place where the clink of glasses and the murmur of conversation blend into a melody that feels both exclusive and inviting - where every meal is a testament to the art of fine living and every visit leaves an imprint of timeless elegance).
My poem for this painting:
In Aphrodite’s orchard bright,
She claimed her path, her own true light.
Not swayed by whispers in the breeze,
But anchored in what brought her peace.
With every choice, she grew her grace,
Each step a dance, her sacred space.
She knew that joy’s own quiet art
Blooms boldly from a fearless heart.
Rooted deep, her spirit free,
She shaped her life as it should be.
For beauty lies in those who dare,
To live a life beyond compare.

Embracing Your True Essence
QUOTE THAT INSPIRED THIS PAINTING:
“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” - Carl Jung
My poem about this painting:
In the quiet of your heart, you listen,
Not to the noise of the world,
But to the soft call within,
The one that knows the way
Even when the path is unclear.
You find yourself,
Not shaped by what others see,
But by the quiet strength that blooms
In your own time,
In your own way.
You are not bound by the expectations
That others carry for you,
But guided by a deeper knowing,
A gentle pull toward what feels true.
With every step, you move closer
To the essence of who you are,
A quiet courage growing inside,
Resilient,; steady,
Following the whispers of your own heart.
And as you bloom,
Softly, without rush,
You become the truest version of yourself,
A beauty found not in being seen,
But in being known.

Blossom of Potential
QUOTE THAT INSPIRED THIS PAINTING:
"It’s never too late to be what you might have been." – George Eliot
My poem for this painting:
A quiet spark, a gentle flame,
She rose again, unbound by guilt or shame.
In every leaf, in every stem,
She found herself, renewed by them.
No path too long, no dream too late,
Each step a chance to recreate.
Through time’s embrace, she softly grew,
Becoming all she always knew.
Petals of Grace & Quiet Strength
QUOTE THAT INSPIRED THIS PAINTING:
"A woman is like a flower; her true strength is revealed when she blooms despite the storm."
— Matshona Dhliwayo
My poem for this painting:
Within the stillness of the bloom,
A quiet strength begins to loom.
Each petal soft, yet bold and sure,
A beauty forged to endure.
Though storms may rage and waters rise,
The rose looks upward to the skies.
Its blush, a whisper, calm and true,
Resilience painted in every hue.
For gentle strength, serene and sweet,
Unfolds its power, firm, complete.
And in its vase, a tale is told—
Of fragile beauty, brave and bold.
